It has been a very quick semester and I am sad to say that I do not HAVE TO post on this blog anymore. That being said, I want to talk about the pros and cons of having this blog. I thought that reblogging and talking about other blogs were effective. Writing about more difficult recipes got lesser views. I would like to get better at taking pictures of my food, because they usually were not that good.
I thought that this experience could benefit me in the future because it showed me that it’s kind of fun to be a blogger, and I have always wanted to try it. This was a good excuse to try something new. I will be able to implement these tools in the future because it never hurts to be able to know how to write, and do it well.
My most popular week was the week of September 18th. I had 34 views, and I got 23 visitors. Aside from the post that I reblogged from a blogger that I liked, my highest post of the semester was my fajita blog. It got 4 views and I think that it was because a lot of like fajitas, and they’re hard to replicate, so I feel like people are always looking for ways to make good fajitas.
I had viewers from United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Thailand, India, Romania, Spain, and Kenya. I think that is the coolest stat to see. It’s amazing how when you post something the amount of people that can potentially see your post.
My tweets were not very helpful to getting the word out as I don’t have many followers on my Twitter. I think it helped get the word out, but I am guessing my tags were the most helpful.
